Cherry Blossom Festival

Today is the National Cherry Blossom Festival, honoring the friendship between the United States and Japan.  Living near D.C. I was able to visit the street festival and watch the parade.

Red bean and green tea ice cream being sold by Dolci. The green tea was my favorite.  Some lovely
magnolias outside of the Smithsonian.

Taiyaki is a Japanese sweet. It is filled with red bean past and fished shaped. I love these tings. They taste great with Thai tea or milk.

My Cherry Blossom Outfit

For the Cherry Blossom Festival I wanted something cute, but comfortable. So I wore a peplum top form Antropologies , hot pink pants form JC Penny's, along with a white cardigan. It was a very light weight out fit but still nice and fresh. A nice option outside of jeans and a tank, which are two things I love to wear.
